How sand filtration works

Maintenance of the sand filtration system
Regular maintenance of the sand filter is essential for its proper functioning. As the sand becomes clogged with dirt, it must be cleaned. Simply feed water into the filter in the opposite direction to the filtration, this will coagulate the sand, loosen the dirt and wash it down the drain.
At the same time, the sand in the pool filter needs to be changed every 3 to 5 years, because over time it becomes so dirty that it can no longer be washed and loses its effectiveness. With filter glass and AFMs, replacement is not needed as often as this results in more efficient flushing. Regular maintenance of the sand technology for swimming pools results in perfectly clean and healthy water.
