Electric pool heater

An electric pool water heater is one of the options for heating water. This technology makes it possible to maintain the desired water temperature regardless of the outside conditions.

Anelectric pool water heater is a modern and efficient device that keeps the water temperature at a comfortable level throughout the swimming season. This technology uses electricity to heat the water. It is suitable for both swimming pools and hot tubs.

How an electric pool heater works

Electric instantaneous water heaters heat the water that flows through a section called the heater body. This part is immersed in the pool water, transferring heat to it and thus heating it. This process continues until the desired temperature is reached.

Advantages of an electric pool water heater

  • allows the water temperature to be maintained at the desired level regardless of the outside conditions, even in colder periods
  • the possibility to set the pool water temperature exactly to your liking
  • easy installation
  • fast water heating
  • independence from outdoor conditions such as sunlight, wind
  • Flexibility - for any pool, different types, sizes and shapes
  • technology also suitable for salt pool water

Choosing an electric pool heater

When choosing, it is important to think about the volume of the pool and to select a sufficiently powerful electric flow heater. The larger the pool, the more power (more kW) is needed to heat the water quickly to a given temperature. Another factor you should consider is safety. An electric heater should be equipped with safety features such as a thermostat that regulates the water temperature and prevents it from overheating. At the same time, care must be taken to ensure that it is properly installed and connected to the mains.

Last but not least, you should bear in mind that electric pool heaters are more energy-intensive than other methods of heating water. Therefore, when choosing a pool heater, consider not only the speed of water heating, but also the total cost of operation.

If you own a heat pump for your home and would like a heated pool, opt for a pool heat exchanger that simply plugs into your existing water heating system. Another option is a pool heat pump, which operates independently and heats the pool water with heat from its surroundings.
